The Morning Ritual That Helps Me Begin Again

Some mornings, it’s just hard to get started. Hard to open my eyes, hard to move, hard to step into the day’s work. 😮‍💨

On those slow, heavy mornings, I’ve found that the simple act of brewing tea can be the gentle nudge I need. There’s something grounding about the whole process: choosing the herbs (even if it’s just a pre-filled tea bag), boiling the water, pouring it carefully, watching the steam rise in soft spirals, inhaling the warm aroma, and—after a patient steep—taking that first comforting sip.

Working with the herbs, experiencing their scent and warmth, and moving through the small ritual with intention feels deeply satisfying. It’s a moment of presence before the day takes off.

So, come join me for a cup of tea. ☕️I’ll think of you while I enjoy mine—and I hope you think of me as you enjoy yours.
